Uber Eats starts a strategic partnership with CCD to launch a network of virtual restaurants in India

With the huge competition in the food delivery market, India’s biggest food delivery network Uber Eats, announced their partnership with Café Coffee Day to launch the immense virtual restaurant on Friday, 26th October. This will bring foodies a superior choice of restaurant brands exclusively on the Uber Eats app. This restaurant is scheduled to launch in the month of November.

Uber Eats will help Café Coffee day with data, analytics, and insights which to categorize the food or cuisines according to the consumer’s cravings. This will enable both to launch menu that is offering as per emerging buyer trends, for multiple ‘delivery-only’ virtual restaurant.

Jason Droege, Vice President of Uber commented on their association with Café Coffee Day. He stated that they are excited to associate with Café Coffee Day, the developers of the Café culture in India- which will be the fastest growing global market. They hope to provide the Indian restaurant partners with growth opportunities. With positive hope, the customers too will enjoy ordering and eating their everyday meals at the tap of a button.

Virtual restaurants mean those which are digital-only eateries that will allow the business owners to explore new gastronomic options and will help to reach a wider audience by using the amount of space in their existing kitchen.  This restaurant will allow the partners to examine the new opportunities in today’s vibrant market in a dexterous manner.

Uber eats is currently operating in 37 cities in India, but strongly present in two cities.  Within the last three months, this order app has gained its importance six times more. Uber Eats is adding almost 100 new restaurants to their platform every day whereas Café Coffee Day is having 1742 cafés across 246 cities in India.
