Without events like Gamescom Fair that took place in Cologne, Germany, the gaming world won’t be exciting anymore. Gamescom Fair, which is considered as the world’s largest and best gaming event featured the best online gaming players, who battled it out using their connected devices or consoles. Connected devices vs. consoles jostle at the biggest e-games convention was the cynosure of all gaming fans.

Thousands of gamers from around the world crowded to support their favorite e-sports players in the battle at the e-sports fair, on the 20th of August. The audiences were then provided with feedback by the star participants, which would further help them in deciding if a new release would be effective or not.

Public admission to this event was opened on Wednesday by Gamescom. The organizers had targeted the new generation gamers, who like to spend most of their time on consoles rather than TV.

E-sport is now a huge gaming company and has turned out to be a million-dollar industry, matching the fame of professional tennis or basketball. This last month, Kyle Giersdorf, the Fortnite player from America bagged a whopping amount of 3 million dollars by winning this year’s Fortnite World Cup.

The Gamescom Germany Fair has been closely observing cloud-based gaming to compare the power of the cloud and the traditional wired gaming devices. Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation were the featured consoles during the fair, which were competing with big platforms like Amazon’s Twitch.

According to MD Felix Falk, cloud gaming has now become a gaming trend. He also stated that people are more drawn towards cloud gaming due to the fact that they can easily gain access to the latest games with any device, as the entire gaming account is held in the cloud. The independent game developers were also given limelight in this gaming fair.

Fans got the chance to meet their favorite gaming stars. Industry developers and analysts also attended the fair to interact with the visitors and asked them about their opinions on their latest releases.

The recent studies about online gaming have revealed that e-gamers have spent approximate 150 billion dollars on online gaming. This figure includes game purchases and sales of related products from online gamers around the world, which is approximately 2.6 billion. And, according to Mirabaud Securities, there is a possibility that this figure might rise to make it a 174 billion dollars industry by 2021.

The Gamescom Germany Fair plays a vital role in making cloud gaming more accessible to e-sports and online gaming.
