Marvel’s Black Panther Chadwick Boseman Lost The Battle With Cancer, Only At 43 Years

The famous actor Chadwick Boseman who was best known for his lead role in Black Panther as t’challa dies of cancer. The American actor was 43 years old and he was suffering from colon cancer. He has made legions of fans for his role in the hit Marvel superhero franchise.

The world came to a shock as a post as made on his official social media to tell that the talented actor passed away. Boseman died at home in Los Angeles and his wife and family were there beside him till the last minute.

He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016.

It has shattered the entertainment world and left his fans heartbroken. Get Out director Jordan Peele, said it was “a crushing blow”.

His family made a brief post with the statement that he died of colon cancer after fighting for the last four years.

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” his family made the statement on his official twitter and Instagram profile.

“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more – all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” they added in that statement.

Boseman shot to fame after playing the character of a real-life famous baseball player Jackie Robinson in 2013’s 42. He played the role of the soul singer James Brown in 2014’s Get on Up.

The world was amazed to see him as King T’Challa in Marvel’s Black Panther. It was one of the biggest blockbusters in 2018 and got Oscar nominees.

He stars in the Marvel superhero movies as the king of Wakanda, a hidden place rather a fictional African nation with technological advancement that can change the future of the planet.

It gained critical appreciation worldwide and made a business of more than $1.3 billion US dollars (£973m) at cinemas worldwide. The film was a milestone in the Hollywood industry for having a largely black cast and a black director, Ryan Coogler.

Chadwick stated last year that the film had shown him the meaning of being “young, gifted and black”.

He has been a part of many Marvel’s superhero films like Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame with the same role as the ruler of Wakanda, the black superhero, Black Panther.

Its sequel was set to be out in 2022 but his battle with cancer shocked the industry because he never talked about his sickness publicly.

Mark Ruffalo took to tweeter to share his grievance, “Brother, you were one of the all-time greats and your greatness was only beginning. Lord love ya. Rest in power, King.”

Dwayne Johnson tweeted: “Thank you for shining your light and sharing your talent with the world.”
