According to the latest reports, U.S. President Donald Trump has re-tweeted a post from Elections Canada that outlines the country’s voting system after perpetuating unsubstantiated claims that during the presidential election the voting machines have led to mass voter fraud.

On Monday afternoon, Elections Canada tweeted saying that it doesn’t use Dominion Voting Systems and that they use paper ballots that are being counted by hand in front of the scrutineers and they have never used voting machines or any other electronic tabulators to count the votes in their 100-year history, the tweet read.

Post this; Trump re-shared the post on Tuesday writing that the tweet says it all.

During the days, since the election, Trump has been reportedly aiming at the Dominion Voting Systems and without any kind of evidence has been saying that the company which makes digital voting machines has conspired with the Democrats to help Biden win the election.

Furthermore, The Republican president has claimed without providing any sort of evidence that millions of votes for him were thereby deleted and has also perpetuated unsubstantiated reports suggesting that the ballots were flipped to support Biden.

On Tuesday, in a statement posted to its website the company stated that it categorically denies any such false assertions about vote switching issues with their voting systems.

The company further added that the ballots were accurately and precisely tabulated adding that assertions of voter fraud conspiracies are 100 percent false and incorrect.

Additionally in the statement, the Dominion Voting Systems also maintained that it is a non-partisan company that holds no company ownership relationships with any member of the Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s family, the Feinstein family, or the Clinton Global Initiative, Smartmatic, Scytl as being alleged. It has also said that it does not have any ties to Venezuela.

On Tuesday evening, via an email to Global News, a spokesperson for Elections Canada said that the agency’s message on Twitter was posted to respond to the large number of questions they had received from people who had mistakenly believed that they use automated tabulating systems in federal elections.

The email read that the matter shouldn’t be construed as anything other than that.

Trump who has reportedly not conceded to Biden has filed several lawsuits in pursuit of overturning the election results and has also alleged that there was mass voter fraud as a result of the use of mail-in ballots amidst the novel corona virus pandemic. Moreover, Trump has also claimed that the Republican poll watchers were being denied access to oversee the ballot counting.

The Elections officials across the country have however maintained the fact that there were no fraud or irregularities and have said that both the Republican and Democratic representatives were granted access to watch the ballot counting.

On Thursday, the federal government agency that thereby oversees the U.S. election security and the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency has released a joint statement stating that the election was the most secure in American history and that there is no evidence that any voting system has been deleted or has lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised, the statement added.
