Flying car, designed as a car and an aircraft both. The new vehicle is a mix of car-aircraft.

A flying car can be going up to 160kmph and fly above the altitudes of 8000 ft. this mode of the vehicle has got the certificate from the Slovak Transport Authority.

This flying car is built with an engine BMW and it runs with regular petrol. It takes only 2 minutes and 15 seconds to convert from a car into an AirCar.

The AirCar completed 35 minutes of flying in June 2021. The flight was between the international airports in Nitra and Bratislava, Slovakia.

Now the flying car got the certificate after 70 hours of flying and numerous flying tests. It has taken more than 200 take-offs and landings.

The maker of the AirCar Prof Stefan Klein said, ‘AirCar certification opens the door for mass production of very efficient flying cars’.

The company is even claiming that it can be flying from London to Paris in the future.

After this innovation, a lot of company has taken initiative to make vehicles like this.

PAL-V Liberty, the three-wheeled vehicle is legal on the road of Europe. This vehicle like a gyrocopter is working towards the certificate of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

Dr Steve Wright, the senior researcher in avionics and aircraft systems said, ‘cautiously optimistic that I am going to see a few AirCars one day – but I think there is still a way to go’.

He commented on the fact that they are not sure how much it will be mass appealing or a mainstream transport option. But it can be a revolutionary personal transport.

To fly this AirCar requires a pilot’s license just like any other aircraft. And it necessitates place like any plane to take-off and land.

Though, a lot of companies are currently working on unpiloted air-taxi services. That executes with autonomous flight and vertical take-off and landing.

This invention is getting a lot of investments. On Monday, Boeing announced that it is investing around $450 into Wisk, the autonomous air-taxi company to make better AirCars.
