The newly formed Afghanistan government has issued an instruction regarding the dress code of the government employees. According to newly imposed guidelines the employees are bound to grow their beards and only show up for work in the chosen attire. Otherwise, they may get a bullet for dressing the way they wanted.

The Islamist Administration shared these facts of the latest restrictions with various investigative journalists. According to the sources from the ministry ‘propagation of virtue and preservation of vice were patrolling the entrance of every government office from Monday to make sure everyone is in their correct apparel.

Employees were instructed to shave further and have the beard that Islam instructs them to have. The clothing should be long, loose along with loose trousers and they have to wear either a hat or a turban. The employees have also to make sure that they go for their prayer at the correct moment without fail, the sources shared.

If they do not meet up with the dress code or fail to follow the restrictions they can be fired from the job. A spokesperson from the public morality ministry did not say anything about these new compulsions at workplaces.

In the past few weeks, the Taliban banned the girls’ secondary school by making the excuse of not having decided on the dress code for them; they have also banned women from taking flights without a male accompanying them.

On this Sunday they have issued another rule by segregating parks by their genders. As women are allowed to enter a park only three days a week and men are allowed to enter the park four days a week, which included the weekends as well. This means that any married couple or a family cannot visit a park together.

These newly imposed rules by the Taliban administration are being heavily criticized by Western governments for obligating everyone to follow the misinterpreted headline of Islamic law by Afghans.

The Taliban have repeatedly said that they respect everyone’s rights if they are in line with the Islamic laws and Afghan traditional customs. They have changed their ways since their rule from 1996 to 2001, when they have barred women from leaving their house without a male relative, or forced men to grow a beard.

It seems that history is repeating itself, and after all, the Taliban hasn’t changed in any way. The reversal of the opening of the schools for girls indicated their intentions and now they have made it obvious.

International governments including the United States strongly protested this subject. And there might be a pull-out of planned meetings with the Taliban officials in Qatar to discuss various economical issues. And there might be more sanctions against this Taliban.

Though, the Taliban need these sanctions to be lifted because for their economy to grow.
