The Lawsuit Joy-Con Class Action Will Be On Nintendo Switch Lite With Controller Drift Controversy
After a week’s release of Nintendo Switch Lite, it got entangled with the lawsuit of class-action which the console manufacturer faced as it was filed against them. It was last July that the case was filed even though the week-old console Nintendo Switch Lite has not been immune to all these court cases.
The case was filed against Nintendo as a result of their inaction in spite of knowing the Switch Controllers design problems. In the case files of the court, it was indicated that the defect was known to the console maker but the issue has not been acknowledged as it was a failure and the problem was not corrected.
The issue has been raised as the analog sticks of Joy-con causes problems as it can register and ‘drift’ an input without it being touched upon. The gameplay is significantly affected by the problem which leads to complaining by the majority of the switch players.
After the Switch Lite Consoles release, many users were complaining that the same problem has been experienced. If it is such an accurate case it meant that the drift issue is not fixed by Nintendo regarding the new handheld Switch Lite. The new handheld Switch Lite has been given an entry among the contest for the units.
The problem has been complained by many handheld owners, but there are no reports which officially came out indicating the fact that the problem is widespread. There has been much criticism and grievance which the internet is popping out from time to time since 2017 after the launch of Switch.
Because of the controller issue that has been persistent problems were reported by users of Nintendo Switch as the unit is unplayable. Although the problem has not been addressed adequately by Nintendo nor the existence was acknowledged a free Joy-con has been offered by the company as the company started doing this without asking any question.
After filing the lawsuit and it has been entered in due course of time the swift action was taken. In spite of the company promising about repairs, it is known to everybody that the Switch Lite Controller which is based on the existing system.
A solution might be offered by Nintendo but the repairs for the Joy-con cannot be instantly done. The unit owners who are returning their respective handheld for the reason of servicing generally complained regarding long waits which in some cases lasted for months.
In addition to this, the internet has been popping out with many DIY tutorials, which offers tips in troubleshooting so that the Joy-con controllers are fixed. Most of the times it is disastrous to repair DIY.
Nintendo recently released a company memo issuing the fact that the repair of free Joy-con will not require any warranty information.
