Last month Elliot Page announced how had been the journey so far for him being a transgender. He came out as transgender a few weeks ago and he counted himself lucky to have a terrific fanbase who supported him after the revelation.

The Canadian actor cheers to his loyal fans claiming that they are “the greatest gift.”

Page has made his first post on Instagram with a selfie to thank his fans and supporters. Since he came out as transgender, it was the first selfie with a short note dangling beneath the post. He mentioned two groups, Transanta, and Trans Lifeline, and asked his fans to support the groups as they advocate for transgender people. He is rooting for the transgender communities by seeking support from his Instagram followers.

The Hollywood actor, 33 years old, wrote, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your love and support have been the greatest gift. Stay safe. Be there for each other. If you are able, support @transanta and @translifeline. See you in 2021. Xoxo Elliot.”

His Instagram post was liked by millions of Instagram users within a short span of 12 hours. Not only his fans were there to support him, many celebrities including actors Kate Mara, Janelle Monae, and former MuchMusic VJ Rainbow Sun Francks showered comments.

Before talking about the following change, Elliot was actively rooting for the gay community. He was a famous gay member of Hollywood star-studded scene.

Juno actor has publicly shown gratitude to all of his supporters from the “bottom of his heart”.

The Oscar-nominated actor who used to prefer to be called ‘Ellen’ wrote a kind and emotional message earlier this month. He changed his name to ‘Elliot’ and introduced himself as transgender to his social media. He wrote, “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer,” Page had written, expressing gratitude for supporters in the trans community.

“I also ask for patience. My joy is real, but it is also fragile… I am also scared. I am scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the “jokes” and of violence,” the actor revealed his fear of coming out as a queer and insisted to use pronouns such as ‘he/they’ to call him.

He received appreciation from the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with his tweet for “sharing these words and speaking your truth.”

“Your bravery and strength are inspiring, and your authenticity and vulnerability will mean so much to so many,” Trudeau wrote.

Prime minister vocally supported him and the trans community of the nation with a short note. “Thank you, Elliot, for sharing these words and speaking your truth. Your bravery and strength are inspiring, and your authenticity and vulnerability will mean so much to so many. Sophie and I wish you the very best, and we send you – and the trans community – all our support,” he wrote.
