Halsey comes out slamming fans who wanted to take selfies with her during the protests
As the fans know that Hasley has joined the protestors of the campaign of Black Lives Matter on the streets to fight for a better future, where there is no racism and police brutality. It is a protest for everyone and not meet and greet but some people think otherwise as they took this opportunity as an event for taking selfies with her. As a result, Halsey slams fans who ask to take pics with her while protesting – ‘Don’t Even Ask!’
The singer took to the social media platforms and made it very clear that she was not there to take pictures with people and requested all of them to stop asking her about selfies.
The famous personality took to Twitter and stated, ‘Don’t even ask me, I won’t say yes. That’s not what this is about’.
The 25-year-old fame has been at the forefront of the protests taking place in Los Angeles in response to the brutal murder of George Floyd by a policeman.
The black man had lost his life after a police officer knelt on his neck for as many as nine minutes, not agreeing to release him even long after not being responsive.
The singer is one of those many artists who have come out protesting against another tragedy in the African-American community caused by police brutality.
In fact, due to this, people have come out all over the world protesting against it, thousands upon thousands of people outside the States protesting as well!
After the post made by Halsey, many followers of her agreed to her post, making comments, such as ‘If you’re a fan of H and you see her protesting near you, respect her. March with her. Protest with her. Make your voice heard with her. Fight against racism with her. Scream out in anger with her.’ / ‘Everyone please listen to this!!!!! H is not there to do a meet and greet – she’s there along with everyone else to fight systematic racism.’
Another person also wrote in capital letters to express her anger about the entire fact: ‘F PEOPLE ARE GOING TO A PROTEST JUST BC THEY KNOW A CELEBRITY IS GOING TO BE THERE THAT’S ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. REMEMBER WHAT THESE PROTESTS ARE ABOUT, REMEMBER WHAT WE ARE ALL WORKING TOWARDS. (hint: it’s not a f***ing pic or a follow from ur fav).’
