Mods come to SnowRunner and developers announce their future extension plans
SnowRunner, an off-road trucking simulation game was recently launched by publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Saber Interactive. As per the latest updates, the game has been received quite well especially since mod support was included during the launch.
However, currently, the mod support is available only on PC. SnowRunner has officially teamed up with mod.io, where the modders have already been working hard at creating custom content for the new title.
The Mods present on the website include new vehicles, more realistic driving to male off-roading tougher, certain system changes, and even some entertaining mods which are related to a reskin based on Grandma’s Visit.
News has it that the developer is currently modders with a brand new video. The video goes on to showcase some highlights from the modding community so far. It also shows a short tutorial on how to load mods into an installed game. If the players wish to add their creations onto the website, there is also a short tutorial for them on how to upload a mod onto the mod.io.
The video focuses more on showcasing mods, such that the players who want to know more about creating mods can thereby research on mod.io’s website.
SnowRunner is currently enjoying its position as the seventh most popular game on mod.io, with having over 484000 downloads so far.

During the first phase of the content updates, the players shall get to see new, free updates to all of the tools that are currently available. Moreover, they will be able to mod maps, missions, and also vehicle interiors.
The Mod support has been planned for the consoles in the future such that everyone playing the game can every platform can enjoy the community-created content. However, the exact release date is yet to be announced.
For those players who prefer content that is created by the developer or those who worry about the safety of the community created content, for them Snow Runner shall roll out more content soon. The game further comes with a Season Pass that facilitates access to more content as it gets released. As it seems that the players can now expect one full year of new content as it has been promised so far.
The developers have plans to release more new vehicles, maps, missions, and much more in the future.
The SnowRunner puts players in the driver’s seat of more than forty vehicles from brands such as Ford, Chevrolet, and Freightliner. The game doesn’t necessarily have a story mode but has various missions for the players to complete.
The players get the chance to drive through many difficult terrains, including mud, torrential waters, snow, and frozen lakes to complete their missions. As they move ahead in the game, the players can either enjoy the interconnected world of SnowRunner alone or in a four-player co-op with their friends.
The SnowRunner is currently available on PC as Epic Games Store exclusive, along with PlayStation 4, and also Xbox One.
