England vs. West Indies: Salt Became Highest Scorer with 119 Runs

In the T20 England vs. West Indies series, England leveled up by winning the match with 267-3. Salt amazed everyone with 119 at just 57 balls and became the highest scorer of the match. The batter gave 10 phenomenal sixes, which made the match even more joyous for the audiences of England.

On the other hand, the captain of the team Jos Buttler made 55 runs out of 29 balls. Liam Livingstone also made 54 runs from 21 balls. Everyone played excellently and made the match interesting for everyone. The match was held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad, where the England team performed spectacularly.

West Indies tried to chase the number with their all effort, but couldn’t beat. Even after having decent run rates, they couldn’t complete the target due to uncertain wicket losses. Unfortunately, West Indies made 192-10 and lost the match in their own field. England won the match by a whopping 75 runs.

The hosts managed to make 87 runs in the first six overs but the amusing bowling and fielding skills of England stunned everyone. Each bowler from the England team got at least one wicket. And this outstanding effort helped them to win the match.

England has made a comeback in the series with their outstanding performance. The team came from 2-0 and made it to 2-2. The dynamic change has surely shocked everyone. There is no wonder that the team has performed really well and shown their talent in the field of West Indies.

After the match, the former bowler of England, Steven Finn said ‘England have been excellent and reaffirmed the manner in how they want to approach white-ball cricket’. He has also added by saying ‘I like that Phil Salt sets the tone at the top of the innings. Jason Roy embodied it previously and Salt has taken on that mantle’.

On the other hand, the captain of England, Jos Buttler has stated ‘We showed so much character. To score two hundreds in a row, Phil Salt has been phenomenal…I am really proud of the group. To go 2-0 down and show the reaction we have – to show the bravery, courage and ultimately skill level as well to be able to execute it…I am delighted for the guys and it’s a really confident changing room’.

Right after the match, the captain of West Indies, Rovman Powell also said a few words. The captain has uttered ‘It’s a fine line when you are playing against world-class players and when you don’t execute properly they are going to put you under pressure…We have failed to close out the series from a good position but Thursday is an opportunity to do that’.

After watching this match, people are assuming that England might get the series and take revenge for the 2-1 ODI series. Currently, both the teams are holding 2 points each. Only the last match can help audiences to the winner of the T20 series, which everyone is waiting for eagerly.
