The biggest downside is the rental fee that can be quite steep as in most tourist places like Mykonos.
Airport Taxi
Officially, there are just 35 taxi vehicles serving the Mykonos airport. But during high season there are additional taxi cars that also offer transport from and to the airport. You can recognize the licensed taxis by their yellow and black rooftop signs.
But no matter what, the ride from the airport to Mykonos Town and vice versa should cost you around 29€. Typically, the ride takes around ten minutes, and there are taxis available 24/7, all year long.
Airport Bus (Cheapest Option)
The bus is by far the cheapest option as it costs only 1.6 euros. Typically the ride takes around 15 minutes. However, many times, especially during high season, the busses are packed with tourists, and it can be quite unpleasant.
The bus runs only from 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. There is no bus if you arrive at night or early in the morning.
