As per the report of Sputnik, the popular America rapper Kanye West has failed to submit any of the 10,000 signatures required for appearing in the presidential ballot from South California. It had to be submitted within Monday.

A spokesperson for the state Election Commission Chris Whitmire has said that neither the rapper nor any of his representatives had delivered the petition before the stipulated time.

Whitmire has clearly stated that “late registration” will not be allowed for any individual whatsoever.

The first electoral rally of West was staged on Sunday in South California. Advertisements were also run on social media platforms to ask the voters for signing the petition.

As per the publication house, the only way for him to run in the elections in South California is to get the presidential nomination from any one of the ten certified political parties.

This is not the first time for him, as he had also missed the registration deadlines in many other US states, such as Texas, but got on the ballot in Oklahoma by paying a fee.

Kanye had announced his presidential bid on July 4.

On previous occasions, the rapper had expressed his support for President Donald Trump and also met him in the Oval Office in 2018.
