According to Boxing News, the heavyweight title has been defended by Deontay Wilder for the ninth time in a row, as he knocked out his fellow competitor Dominic Breazeale in the very first round.

Wilder clashed last night with Breazeale in New York at the Barclays Centre in what has been a battle that is expected for a very long time between the two giants of boxing as a lot of bad blood has been shared between them in the past. Deontay Wilder Knocks out Dominic Breazeale in Round I and Retains the Heavyweight Title.

The fans were waiting for a mouth-watering prospect and were hoping for a fight where something interesting and fascinating things can be seen. They were anticipating something which will be remembered for generations to come and stay in the memory for a very long time. Instead, they were quite happy to witness one of the best knockouts that you will ever get to see as a boxing fan which has sent Breazeale on to the canvas and his reputation has been seriously damaged. The fight lasted for only 2 minutes and 17 seconds which is quite a short span for any boxing match.

It was very much a one-two direct that stunned Breazeale and the entire crowd was on their feet. In those 2 minutes for which the game lasted and the knockout has been preceded by it, Wilder was much better than his opponent as a few punches are already landed by him as it completely shook the challenger.

Wilder whose statistics goes like (41—0—1, 40 KOs) has now got 95.2 percent of the entire knockout rate. He is said to be one of the hardest punchers to have ever graced the game of boxing and in the all-time list of the elite title defenses, he stands in the sixth place.

Breazeale whose statistics goes like (20-2, 18 Kos) has suffered the loss for the second time. His first defeat was in the hands of Anthony Joshua and it was in the year 2016, as the remaining three belts are held by him in the category of heavyweight boxing.

The clash that took place between Wilder and Joshua are still not been chalked out as part of the plans of either of these two phenomenal fighters as they are not agreeing to the terms provided by the match. Wilder wanted that the profits are split evenly, while such kind of an offer was declined by Joshua as he suggested that more such belts are held by him than his American counterpart.

There was another option that wilder has and that is having a fight with the mighty Tyson Fury who is back in the boxing ring after an absence of two years. Already, the two had a spectacular boxing clash on 1st December 2018 as the bout ended in a tie but the title has been kept by Wilder.

Joshua has been publicly called out by Fury as he also wanted to meet the boxer personally, by saying that he is the real ruler and the only boxer in the category of heavyweight.

A verbal agreement of some sort has been reached between the two guys for a rematch but it has been changed by Fury. According to various experts, he decided to prepare himself and wanted to get warmed up for the battles that are coming up. Fury had observed the fact that he is in a lack of fights and is not going to risk losing to Joshua and Wilder for that reason.
